Cacao with bone broth? I know, I know — cue the eye-roll. But stay with me here, because this is not your typical mug of chocolatey goodness. This creamy, decadent drink sneaks in all the benefits of collagen and minerals from neutral bone broth (and I mean neutral — no garlic, veggies, or overpowering flavors, just bones, water, a touch of salt, and a touch of vinegar). It’s the perfect choice for fertility, pregnancy, or postpartum recovery, proving that cacao can be indulgent and nourishing.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup neutral bone broth (made with mostly bones, water, a touch of salt, and a touch of vinegar — no garlic, spices, veggies, or strong flavors)
- 1 cup milk of choice (I like raw milk)
- 2 tablespoons raw cacao
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon raw honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon maca powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla powder
- Pinch of salt
METHOD:
1. In a saucepan, combine the bone broth and milk. Warm gently over medium heat — no need to rush the magic.
2. Whisk in the cacao powder, butter, honey (or maple syrup), maca powder, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt. Stir until it’s smooth and chocolatey with no lumps in sight.
3. Keep heating until your desired temperature is reached, but don’t let it boil — it’s hot cacao, not lava.
4. Pour into your favorite mug, take a sip, and enjoy the warm, nourishing blend that feels indulgent and restorative all at once.
Bone broth cacao is proof that you can have it all — delicious indulgence and nutrient-packed goodness in one cup. Whether you’re boosting fertility, nourishing a growing baby, or recovering postpartum, this drink is here to support you every step of the way. Cheers to chocolate and collagen!
